The music-blog world can be a surprisingly small one. We develop relationships with people solely through our keyboards and a shared interest in our ongoing conversation. We may never meet in the real world, but our virtual relationships feel a lot like real-world relationships nevertheless. So I was quite sorry to learn this morning that one of the regular commenters around here, Scraps, who is also a fellow contributor at Popdose, suffered a stroke last week. Many of the signs are good, but it’s likely that he has a long recovery period ahead, and like many writers, he’ll have to find his way through it without health insurance. More details and a way for you to help are here.
Coming tomorrow and all this week: More random October days, on which we should all be grateful to the people who see us through, wherever they are and however we know them.
